Greg Atwood: Emergency Medicine
Greg Atwood is a Firefighter /Paramedic in Coral Gables Florida and works for the Coral Gables Fire Rescue. He is an American Heart Association certified instructor in BLS ( Basic Life Support ), ACLS ( Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support ), and PALS ( Pediatric Advanced Life Support ). He teaches these disciplines for the Fire Department as well as Baptist Health Systems in South Florida.
Greg also founded and runs South Florida Safety Consultants which teaches CPR and First Aid to Schools, teachers, daycares, and new parents. Heather Ann Johnson, MS: Family Advice
Heather Johnson M.S. completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Brigham Young University, and has been an adjunct faculty member for the last 9 years. She teaches students the principles behind successful families and the importance of families spending time together.
Beyond the classroom, Heather is also a contributor on KSL’s Studio 5, KSL News Radio and KSL’s Family Focus. Passionate about families, and feeling the need to share what she teaches with a bigger audience, Heather started “Family Volley” (familyvolley.blogspot.com), an on-line advice column that aims to share solid and trusted advice with her readers about family, parenting, marriage, motherhood, and everything in between. Rosie Reeves: Special Needs Parenting
Rosie Reeves holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. She did musical theatre, children’s theatre and taught arts classes to kids on the East Coast before moving out west where she wrote, directed, produced and performed for radio and created online content for radio stations across the country.
Rosie was very involved with her daughter’s early intervention therapies and medical care and continues to work closely with her teachers and therapists. She is currently a freelance writer and the Los Angeles Special Needs Kids Examiner on Examiner.com. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, three kids and one very spoiled cat.
Dr Joseph Skoloff, MD: Pediatrics
Dr. Joseph Skoloff received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from The Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After a year internship and two years of Pediatric Residency in Wilmington, Delaware he joined the U.S. Air Force for two years. Dr. Skoloff served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, USAF Hospital, Robbins AFB, Warner Robbins, Georgia, achieving the rank of Major. On completion of his Air Force obligation Dr. Skoloff participated in a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. After one year of the program he relocated to the Northern Virginia area and joined an existing Pediatric practice until 2006 when problems with his back forced retirement. With his back resolved he returned to pediatrics, joining Nova Medical Group in 2009.
Dr. Skoloff currently holds positions as Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical Schools of Georgetown, George Washington and the University of Virginia. He is a past Vice Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics and past Chairman of the Infection Control Committee at the Inova Loudoun Medical Center. Dr. Skoloff is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Skoloff believes strongly in the combined power of parent and physician working together for the health of their children, and a mutual involvement deciding on course of treatment in a method acceptable to all parties, delivered in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Rebecca Wear Robinson: Water Safety
Rebecca Robinson’s passion is global water safety for children. In her own words, she combines “a wonk’s love of statistics with a mother’s passion and a tenacious commitment to making the right change happen”.
Rebecca’s background is all business, but she has a lifelong devotion to helping children reach their full potential in a variety of ways – ‘cuddling’ newborns as a volunteer, qualifying in CPR/First Aid, and spending countless hours in the water with her own kids. Dr Bill Williams, DMD: Family Dentistry
